Ok, I guess the title is somewhat misleading. This is certainly not the first panino that I have ever prepared. It is however the first panino that I have made for ZP. My parents visited last weekend and they brought my panini maker down to my home. I think they were happy to not have to store it anymore. In anticipation of this, I went to the Headhouse Farmer’s Market looking for fresh ingredients and inspiration. I came back with some cured meat from Garces Trading Company made with cocoa nib and port. I got some delicious bread. I also picked up some Asiago Stravecchio from Di Bruno Bros. This sandwich rocks and you can make it in about 5 minutes.
